Softgrip® Kids Skateboard „Giraffe“

For our Softgrip® kids' skateboards, we use a layer of cork as a natural alternative to traditional griptape. This material not only protects kids' knees and feet but also their clothing. Our Softgrip® surface provides excellent grip while riding. Cork Softgrip® is non-slip and about as soft as the cork on a yoga mat.

Our extra-soft wheels are perfect for kids. They allow for smooth riding even on rough surfaces, ensuring that small obstacles like pebbles don't spoil the fun. These soft wheels also make NEMO BOARDS® significantly quieter than many other skateboards, providing a more enjoyable riding experience.

All NEMO BOARDS® designs are created with love in Berlin by Teresa Holtmann, the illustrator and co-founder of NEMO BOARDS®, also known as “Frollein Motte.” As a longboarder and mother, she brings her experience and creativity to each board. Her positive, child-friendly illustrations give every NEMO BOARD® a unique character.

Our Bambooly® Premium Skateboard Decks are made from a blend of high-quality maple and bamboo wood, known for its excellent durability and unique aesthetic. Bambooly® boards are exceptionally stable and long-lasting. With milled wheel wells and a perfectly tuned concave, they prevent annoying wheel bites even with very loose trucks.

Our super soft bushings are perfectly calibrated to suit the weight of children, ensuring that the skateboard can be steered effortlessly and precisely. These bushings are ideal for kids as they are easy to control even with a low body weight. Although bushings are a small component of a skateboard, they play a crucial role in its overall performance.

For every children's skateboard sold in our online shop, NEMO BOARDS® will plant a tree. Through our partnership with "One Tree Planted," we mainly plant maple trees in Canada to help reforest damaged forests. Since we use mostly maple wood for our skateboards, we find it meaningful to replant these trees and give back to nature.
